The Challenge
Faced with a fantastic business opportunity, KAL Global's client needed to set up an expanded business operation and provide an additional manufacturing services element to their existing operations.
The client had neither the experience nor the resources to manage a complex Greenfield site project, especially with this additional service to be provided.
The Solution
The team at KAL Global were engage to provide all aspects of the project management of this greenfield site development. Site selection, agent negotiations, design and construction of building (through sub-contractors), installation of services, plant selection installation and commissioning were all provided by KAL Global's team.
Results
This project is currently still underway with a target opening of the new facility in July 2013.
- The client will be operational out of their new facility within 18 months and meet their customer's requirements
- Project management is underway utilising EVM techniques to ensure the project is completed to budget and on time.
- The client was able to direct their internal resources into the actual running of the business.
